I’ve got so much respect for Bad Bunny. His love for his island inspires me to love my land that much more. ❤️🇭🇹🇵🇷❤️ Also, do y’all see how this man is brining critical topics like US imperialism and local resistance to mainstream music? Often times, what happens to one of us happens to all of us. Whether we realize it or not, we are in this together. They promised me the bridge would be finished within one month of us giving the last portion of the funds raised. They were right. It looks like this bridge will be finished before their deadline! 💪🏿🇭🇹 #haiti #haititiktok #haitiantiktok🇭🇹 #ayiti
Haitians really depend on the revenue that hits the economy during the holiday season but this year, it’s looking like things will be different. I remember when the airport in the capital was shut down for a while, all traffic went through Okap. People needing to get to the South, the Center, all over came through the only other international airport in Haiti. With this ban, there will be no direct flight from the US to Haiti for the next 30 days (at least). I am frustrated that my flight for Monday is cancelled… but I will find a way around. Many people won’t be able to do the same and that’s upsetting. I recebtly spoke to a hotel owner who was sold out and will not have to refund all the diaspora who were coming, thats upsetting. It doesn’t need to be like this. #greenscreen
I’m in NYC for the Bridging The Gap Revival Tour tonight (I’ll be speaking about all things Haiti, so slide through if youre free!) As I was walking the streets, I heard Haitian music and and towards it with my flag. I ended up meeting a Haitian man who makes the BEST street chicken I’ve ever eaten in my lifeee. It was elite. So good, my body just began to dance! Check out @JimboJerk they are exceptional and just so kind! #haiti #haitian #haititiktok #ayiti #ayisyentiktok🇭🇹
I wasn’t expecting this video. I have some friends on the terrain doing a study on the impact of the canal and while they were talking to farmers and gathering information conversations like this emerged. I’m thankful, diaspora, that you trusted me with your funds. I’m thankful that farmers are doing the work now to transform our agricultural sector. I’m thankful for this encouragement, which makes the hate and death threats feel inconsequential. This made my week. ❤️🇭🇹 Let’s keep fighting for change. It belongs to us. 💪🏿🇭🇹❤️ #haiti #haititiktok #haitiantiktok #haiti
As someone who works in Haiti, across all 10 departments… this news hits hard. It makes the burden feel heavier… but that’s just a call to deepen my commitment and work in Haiti. We continue to face great challenges but we will overcome. Ayiti p ap peri! 🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹 #greenscreen
I’m so thankful for this journey. My time at UF prepared me in inexplicable ways. It taught me critical thinking skills, community development and leadership skills. It also allowed me to meet my best friend and co-founder, Dr. @Priscilla Zelaya ! After my first year at UF, we co-founded @P4H Global Ayiti and my life hasn’t been the same since! #greenscreen
For the next 7 days these volunteers will be working at the Malfety canal. They told me the greatest gift they could give to their children is a new Haiti so they’ll even be working on Christmas day. With hearts like this, I know change is possible in Haiti. 💪🏿🇭🇹❤️ #haiti #haitiantiktok #haititok
They poured the concrete! It’s looking mighty fine! The entire neighborhood is over the moon! I wish you all could see how proud they are of themselves and how thankful they are for YOU! I hope this inspires more bridges and other structures to be built across Haiti. We don’t need to wait to be saved. Nobody is coming for us. And thats fine, because we are enough! 💪🏿🇭🇹❤️ #haiti #haitiantiktok #haitiantiktok #ayiti
I’ll be sharing more about the specific collaborations but for now, I just wanted to share with you this BIG news! Also, did if you know any city across the U.S. who has access to used fire trucks, reach out to me please! That will probably be on of the first things we accomplish, trying to get a fire truck for our city. Right now we only have 1 for the entire region. Email me ❤️🇭🇹 general@p4hglobal.org #greenscreen #haiti #haititok #haitiantiktok #ayiti
How can we support Haiti during this crisis? Keep investing in projects and people you know are getting things done on the ground. We don’t have any plan of stopping our work in Haiti. 🇭🇹💪🏿 Thank you all and thank you, @Kreyol Essence for making this possible! #haiti #haititiktok #haitiantiktok🇭🇹
✨Exciting News✨ The bridge will be inaugurated in two weeks! Thats right, the community is putting final touches on the bridge, its nearly finished. We are just waiting for the concrete to cure and for the walls of of the bridge to be completed. I can’t wait to celebrate with the community! Completing this bridge 100% is proof that Haitians in Haiti are the solution. We are able to do great things. Our unity is our strength! 💪🏿🇭🇹 Viv Ayiti! #haiti #haititiktok #haitiantiktok
Ansanm nou pi fò! I’m so proud of my people. 💪🏿🇭🇹❤️🙏🏿 Thank you all and thank you, Kreyòl Essence for making this happen! 🇭🇹 #haiti #haitiantiktok #haitiantiktok
We are all in this together. 💪🏿🇭🇹🇵🇷💪🏽 The reason why I’m so drawn to @badbunnypr new album is because there’s something revolutionary about it. The native sounds, the lyrics, the traditions and heart all bring us back to this idea of fighting to preserve cultural identity, dignity and autonomy. Something my people, Haitians, are very well aquatinted with. Hope you enjoy this deeper dive in the connections between PR and Haiti. So much more could be said but with this short form platform, I’ll start here. Viva Puerto Rico! 🇵🇷 Viv Ayiti! 🇭🇹 #haiti #haitiantiktok🇭🇹 #haititiktok #ayiti
It’s almost that time… SOUP JOUMOU time! Haitian Independence Day Is around the corner and I’m cooking up some delicious content for you. 😉😘❤️🇭🇹 Soup Joumou is a symbol of our courageous fight for freedom. This soup was a delicacy reserved only for the slave masters, for the colonizers. But when we gained our independence Haitians reclaimed this delicious soup and made it our own. Across the nation Haitians drank soup joumou as a way of declaring “ABA ESKLAVAJ! VIV LIBÈTE!”. Viv libète! 💪🏿 VIV AYITI! 🇭🇹 #haiti #haititok #haitiantiktok #haitiantiktok🇭🇹
I’ve gotten several videos of thanks from Torbeck / Grasèt workers thanking us for the support. I want to share one of the videos with you because YOU are the ones who give this support. They are thanking me in the video but the gratitude goes to the diaspora, who they know is supporting them. THANK YOU for making this possible. What’s special is that my team didn’t send a huge amount, it was $500 for all the workers to split (that’s all that was in the account) and yet they were all so thankful for this Christmas gift. Wow. Thank you for trusting us with your money. We always tell those we work with that the funds come straight from the pockets of the diaspora to theirs. Thank you!
