So many of you have reached out to me and so I got in touch with Eliana’s mom this morning. Nobody is helping her with funeral expenses. This is something that is deeply touching the diaspora and our people on the ground and so we are ready to play our part. We will collect funds only for 2 days. Please give if you’re able and I will make sure to personally give the funds to manmi. To give visit : p4hglobal.org/give Nou bouke, wi. #haiti #haitiantiktok #haitiantiktok🇭🇹
Decentralization is key. Our 1987 constitution laid out a framework for the decentralization of Haiti but we have not followed that path. Hopefully we see the urgency to decentralize now. It’s actually wild how centralized Haiti is. Two weeks ago I went to our bank in Okap to ask the managers to allow our staff to pull out more than $100 cash from the bank. They explained to me their headquarters in the capital aren’t able to send money to them so they are not able to release money to their clients (even if they have he money in the account). They explained to me even simple supplies like scissors and rubberbands that can be purchased in Okap, must be sent from the capital. We’ve got to decentralize Ayiti. #haitiantiktok #haiti #greenscreen
Keeping our eyes and ears open. This new construction near the head of our canal is interesting. We will keep you updated. #haiti #haitian #haitiantiktok #ayiti
The Dominican government is building a bridge near the head of the Wanament canal. The bridge will help them get from one side of the river to the other side. There is a functional use but many Haitians are not trusting of this construction because it’s so close to our canal. We will keep our eyes and ears open. We will stay vigilant. #haiti #haitiantiktok #haititok
Thank you, Haitian American Caucus and Papile’m for your hard work and generosity. We are making strides! 💪🏿🇭🇹❤️ #haiti #haitiantiktok #haitiantiktok🇭🇹
I want to congratulate the Mayors of Cap-Haïtien (Yverose and Patrick), Limonade and Quartier-Morin, the leaders of Sam Propublic, Director Joaneson Lacour and his entire team, and all those who have given so much of themselves to see this project reach this point. Next week’s inauguration will be a BIG deal. Although only a small portion of the land will be ready for use, it will show us all what is possible in the future. More than that it shows us that right here and right now Haiti has TREMENDOUS leaders who can create positive change even in the middle of a crisis. I’m hopeful for the future. 💪🏿🇭🇹 Side note: consider joining us as we collect equipment for the city of Cap-Haïtien. The equipment will contribute to the success of this project. Even more urgently, if you’re interested in investing in waste management initiates in Haiti, the city of Cap-Haïtien wants to connect with you. In March P4H will host a meeting with officials on ZOOM and you’re invited. More information to come soon. #haiti #haitiantiktok #haititok #ayiti
Invest in Haiti. Invest in our people, invest in our city, in our development, in our future. These investments will secure a bright future for our people! Quality education and diaspora investments are two critical ways we will see our country advance. If you’re interested in conversations about investments in Cap-Haïtien, March 19th we will host a smaller private conversation on ZOOM with Haitian leaders and individuals interested. Be on the lookout for information about this link up. #haiti #haitiantiktok #haitiantiktok🇭🇹 #ayiti
All over my timeline I’m seeing these two beautiful flags waving together: 🇭🇹🇳🇬. I LOVE it. In honor of the epic collaboration between Joé Dwèt Filé and Burna Boy I’d love for us to look at the deep connections between Haiti and Nigeria!❤️💪🏿🇭🇹🇳🇬 #haiti #haitiantiktok #nigeria #nigeriantiktok #greenscreen
With love and respect I’ve been told that I should not celebrate the inauguration of the airport in Les Cayes because the government owes us more than that. I’ve been told that a lot and have seen a lot of videos with diaspora upset at the new airport. Firstly, I REALLY appreciate how those who disagree approach me with so much love. I’m thankful for the respect and care and love you all give me even if there are points of disagreement. Unity doesn’t mean uniformity. ❤️❤️❤️🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹 Secondly, I want to encourage us all to see a bigger picture with the airport. The expanding of this runway just increased the capacity of the southern departments drastically. It also is providing an opportunity for the beautiful south to be a top tourist destination (I love the north, we hold the history of the nation… but the beauty of the south is something my dreams are made of!). There’s so much good here. I hope we can recognize it, celebrate it, and replicate it. 💪🏿🇭🇹❤️ #greenscreen #haiti #haitiantiktok
Mezanmi. For me, this was THE CONCERT of the decade! 🎤🎶✨ Thank you, CARIMI for bringing us along your journey. The Amerant Arena was sold out for a Haitian band! 20,000 Haitians came together for this historic night. UNITY is what our people need right now. UNITY is what CARIMI displayed. Also, I’m so honored that though it was brief, these gentlemen allowed me to get on that stage and give a call for unity before they got on. They shared their huge platform with me and I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. The love the crowd showed me as I came on lowkey shook me. This is just the beginning. I can’t wait to see the next Haitian band SELL OUT an arena with 20,000 seats! Haitians, rise up! 💪🏿🇭🇹❤️ Thank you, @samueldameus (@Faces Of Haiti ) for taking and sending me the epic second picture. @Priscilla Zelaya and @Pascale Bélony✨ you’re Gods grace in my life. I don’t think I wanna go anywhere without you two by my side. I love you. #VIVCARIMI #VIVAYITI #haiti #haititok
Let’s also ban weapons leaving the USA and put restrictions on the ports. Then we will see these gang systems weakened. Change is possible. #haiti #haitiantiktok #haititiktok🇭🇹 #greenscreen
Look at how far we’ve come! I was just sent this video from a brother who just visited the Wanament Canal. He compared the site to when the community was constructing. Thank you, Gilbert for sending me this video! The Malfety Canal is going to have water flowing soon… I can’t wait to see the comparison! Ayiti p ap peri! 🇭🇹 Viv Ayiti! 🇭🇹 🎥 @Tilunet17 #greenscreenvideo
Rice, yam, corn, beans, and so many other crops will be able to be grown in large quantities once this canal is complete! We are SO close. By next month we want to see wanted running through this canal to test the structure. Change is here. 💪🏿🫱🏾🫲🏿🇭🇹❤️ Side note: I published the list of materials we purchased but there is still delivery cost and other smaller costs which make it over 300,000 goud. We will be publishing our regular report with official receipts. Also, my team maintains the same level of rigorous financial oversight. We don’t just hand money over. We make purchases alongside the community (literally going to the store with them) to ensure that 100% of your funds go where it should go. Not that we don’t trust the leaders, we trust them a whole lot, sincerely. We just need these extra steps to protect the integrity of our name and they respect that. #haiti #haitian #haitiantiktok #haitiantiktok🇭🇹
