I lost a best friend yesterday. I haven’t looked at any social media or spoken with more than a couple of others who are broken hearted as well… But I know the outpouring must be tremendous and magnificent. Tom Ladshaw wasn’t young but he certainly wasn’t old. He still had the spark of a beautiful mischievous child inside him that warmed me and made me laugh whenever I talked to him or just sat around and kibitzed about anything and everything. For my act, Tom was invaluable; He helped me with bits and jokes, made suggestions and came up with ideas. He was one of my few trusted sounding boards and critics, and he was a vessel of unending vent and show business knowledge and trivia. But most of all, Tom was my buddy… a dear friend whose loss for me and those who knew him best will always in this life, leave an empty space in our hearts, healed over only with the memories and love for a beautiful soul. My deepest sympathies and condolences to Leslye and Kate, and to all who loved Tom and knew him as I did. There will be no equal.
