my best hot dog recipes for hot dog summer 🌭 full recipes are pinned on my Instagram (same handle) and the frito pie dogs are below 👇 FRITO PIE HOT DOGS 8 hot dogs 2 Tbsp. oil 1 large onion, chopped and divided 3/4 lb. ground beef 2 Tbsp. tomato paste 2 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. onion powder 1 tsp. paprika 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper 1/2 tsp. black pepper 1/2 bottle beer 2-3 Tbsp. ketchup 8 hot dog buns 16 oz. cheddar cheese, grated Chopped jalapeños, for garnish Fritos, for garnish Preheat oven or smoker to 400F. I like to throw the hot dogs in for about 10-15 minutes to warm through and crisp on the outside; alternatively you could grill them until they are charred to your liking. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high, then add half of the onions and ground beef, stirring occasionally, until meat is no longer pink and starts to brown, about 5 minutes. Add spices and turn heat down to medium; continue cooking, crumbling with a wooden spoon, until the meat is nicely browned, another 10 minutes. Add tomato paste, stir for one minute, then deglaze with beer and add ketchup. Cook for another 3-5 minutes until meat has absorbed the liquid. Remove from heat. On a baking sheet lined with foil, add hot dog buns with a layer of cheese on the bottom. Top with hot dogs, chili and remaining cheese. Place in oven or smoker for about 10 minutes, until cheese is melted. Garnish with remaining onions, jalapenos and Fritos. #grilling #foodtiktok #EasyRecipe #hotdogs #bbqrecipes #summervibes
