The hardest country that I have been vegan so far was definitely Mongolia. I didn’t find beans, lentils, tofu, fresh produce. Next time, I‘d pack military food and orotein bars!😅🥹 #mongolia #globetrotter #backpacking #nomad #traveltheworld #budgettravel #vegan

Besides, I just wanted to say that of course there is multiple types of travelers and they are all brave for leaving the comfort of their home and taking a step into foreign land. Traveling can be done also within your home country. The distance doesn’t usually measure the depth and challenge of a trip. People travel for all sorts of reasons and passions, and whilst the actual traveling can look VERY different from person - person, it‘s still classified as travel, i‘d say. My type of travel usually includes some extreme outdoor ir cultural adventure, in an ideal scenario. Something challenging and unique. Thats what sparks fire inside of me, at least 🔥🌟 #travel #nomad #globetrotter #backpacking #traveltheworld #budgettravel
My plan was to go to college in New York for photography and film and for 17 year old Leo this was her biggest dream! I applied as an international student and eventually got accepted at my dream university, NYU. However, funding was extremely bad and we could not afford these crazy tuitions (up to 80k / year). After sublitting my college applications January 2022 I had a few months left to travel before starting the semester. So I went solo, to central and south america. I always loved traveling and yes - I definitely was neevous and excited on that first trip but I every cell in my body knew this was the right thing. Packing my backpack and leaving didn‘t feel hard in the end. It was long anticipated, all those years during high school. Later that year I eventually decided I will pursue my creative career but without going to college. I packed my bag and headed around the world - tl the big art capitals. New York was still my dream and I ended up staying there for 3 months. Crushed it on a budget of 3000, did random litle work exchanges and stayed in creepy men‘s basement who lured me in via couchsurfing (dw, as soon as I realized they are creeps I left). Back then I still thought I was gonna stay in the city and built my life and career there. However, this curiosity inside of my towards the world eventually urged me to leave the country again, december 2022. Since then, I‘ve been traveling full time. It was then that I started social media. Now, I travel as a photojounalist and do photography and videography all around the world. Social media is to find likeminded people. I earn my money through jobs, do a lot of exchange work and also know how to travel even cheaper, now. Welcome to Leo‘s life!😃😃❤️🔥 #travel #nomad #backpacking #globetrotter #traveltheworld #gapyear
“They changed me more than I changed them” starter pack: The truth about volunteering is that a lot of it causes more harm than good. Especially when money and ego are involved. In places like orphanages, children are sometimes taken from their families just to keep donations and volunteer programs alive. It’s a business and many organizations make thousands off people wanting to feel helpful. If you really want to help, just help. You don’t need a program. If you’re traveling, walk into a school and offer to teach English for free. Pay for your own stay. Help rebuild houses. Cook a week’s worth of meals. Buy supplies for students. You can show up and be useful every single day without needing a certificate or an Instagram post. But also be honest with yourself. Is this about them or about you? Because real help isn’t flashy. It’s quiet. Consistent. And rooted in what they actually need, not what makes us feel like the hero. If you come from privilege, use it. But don’t center yourself in someone else’s struggle. Helping should never cost someone else their dignity. It should just make you feel human.
