I got an email this morning saying they are moving forward with DNA testing the remains. Thank you guys so much. I can’t wait until I can tell you everything and how much of a community effort this was. Even if it’s not Alissa, we really just might bring someone home. #justiceforalissa #justiceforall
If you haven’t listened to Media Pressure hosted by the incredible @Julie Murray, this is your sign, we beat that football guy dating Taylor Swift. #holyairball
In 1974, 14-year-old Margaret Ellen Fox left her family home in Burlington, New Jersey, full of hope and anticipation. She was on her way to what she believed would be a promising babysitting job — a chance to earn a little money and take one more step toward independence, but Margaret never came home. Fourteen-year-old Margaret Ellen Fox was last seen boarding a bus on June 24, 1974, in Burlington, NJ. She has blue eyes and brown hair. At the time of her disappearance, she was 5’2” and weighed approximately 105 lbs. Two of her top right teeth were missing, and she wore eyeglasses. She was last seen wearing jeans with a yellow patch on the knee, a blue blouse, a white and black checkered jacket, and brown sandals with a heel strap. She was also wearing a gold necklace with flowers and a blue stone, and a gold charm bracelet with a blue stone. Margaret was carrying an eyeglass case with a Huckleberry Hound design on it. #NewJersey
Happy Birthday Alissa. You were such a light in this world when you had every excuse not to be. Even in the darkest times you took the time to let me play race car, braided my hair in the finest braids you could for that perfect 90’s wavy finish the next day, spent an hour painting the American flag in my nails for the 4th of July and meticulously picked lice out of my hair. Even the times you made me scream and cry are happy memories now. I’d do anything to have you double bounce me off a trampoline, hide in my closet to scare me on my birthday, or pin me down and dangle a loogie over my face. I’ll never forget the sacrifices you made to take care of me. I hope that wherever you are, you have your Eminem posters on your wall, cozied up with your Blue’s Clues blanket, listening to Faith from Limp Bizket, eating sour candies with the best silver eyeshadow application in history. I wish you could see how many people you’ve helped and inspired through your story but more than that, I wish we could all go back to 2001 and save you. I wish we could have an amazing boring life spoiling our nieces and nephews and having drinks about how we survived and got away from dad. You deserved and deserve so much better. I promise I’m still trying. I love and miss you always. 💜
Definitely one of the most frequently asked questions. I also interviewed him on season one of Voices for Justice if you want to hear straight from him. #justiceforalissa #sisters
