If you like the look of a claw clip not the feel ❌ try this ✅ Tie 3 hair bands together that you already have 🫶 this little trick helps to create the perfect curly hair updo similar to how a claw clip would hold your hair. Yes I am aware there are flat claw clips I have owned a few for some time but none of them hold all my hair up like a large claw clip does! The flat sliding claw clips do work great for half updos though when less hair is needed to stay up! ⚠️HOW TO TAKE IT OUT: - remove in this order: band 3, band 2, band 1 = the opposite way to which you put it in. Sliding jaw clip is from amazon, and used a few bobby pin grips to secure the top from @Boots UK Slick back & refresh products: @Umberto Giannini & slick gel ( I did an AD collaboration for these products earlier this year) since testing them for that they’ve continued to be my go-to for a slick backs that actually stays! The Gel I used to finish the look off is the @Aveda efiner gel Diffuser is @bellissima.uk diffon supreme I love this look on curly hair! Here is a diffusing tip to help maintain a little more length! ✨focusing on the top layer allows you to focus on root volume techniques whilst the back is air drying! If you’ve got thick hair and want a look that stays and looks good all night, pins and bands are important. When removing it, take your time. One pin at a time, no yanking, no ripping it will take 5 mins max. There is not particular order to this, the beauty of it is just pinning up as go and playing around with it, pulling pieces out if you need to. Use a mirror to look at the back and adjust. This is supposed to have that effortless feel to it. I used the @AussieHairUK work that curl serum and the @Curlsmith flawless finish hairspray flex hold (gifted as part of a previous ad) 👗I love this look! It reminds me of a princess curly hairstyle with a romantic twist to it! ✨I’m also trying to show you here that you don’t need perfectly defined frizz free curls to make a half updo look pretty! Today I’m trying @Anna Primavera ‘WORST curly hair routine on the internet’ 😳🤯 I was not expecting the results… Products I used (different to the ones Anna used) @Noughty detox dynamo shampoo bought in @Superdrug Products bought in @Boots UK iehair bouncy curls conditioner @Aveda be curly coil definer gel @The Curl Company foaming mousse Pros: this routine gave me incredible volume and definition and didn’t take very long. This is similar to the low effort routines I normally do Cons: no curl cream or leave in conditioner and not being able to brush my products through I think left me with quite frizzy patches - it also caused me a few knots around my neck from not having the cream. I think this will vary for people depending on hair type. We are all different with unique heads of curls and was so much fun trying this routine! Can’t wait to try the mousse in different ways too!
