let’s train for your dream: running a half marathon 🥹 As always I recommend you to do a running warm up before running (you find them on this account) and also cool down/ stretching after running. • Listen to your body: shin splints is a usual injury during these high intensity training weeks. Pause your training and prioritise your recovery here. If your keep running with shin splints, it only gets worse 😕 • prioritise sleep and take rest days seriously to avoid injuries. Your health is the most important thing 🫶🏽 • this plan is made for finishing a half marathon. You can of course set a goal for yourself time wise but it’s up to you. I recommend you to not focus on a finish time for your first half marathon. Enjoy the time and don’t look at your watch 🙆🏽♀️ • we all have bad days or weeks. If one of these training weeks is too much, slow down. One bad week is not the reason for not reaching the finish line on the big day. Even two bad weeks are okay to finish the race. I had a lot more weeks during marathon training which went not that well and I still made it. Just keep going 🤝🏽 • don’t forget to have fun and enjoy the process — it’s such a great experience and you will grow (sometimes you notice and sometimes you don’t).
